Hey all, Dani here. Welcome to the first actual post of Weekend Writer. I've been so nervous about really diving into this series on my blog, but I think it will be good for me, and hopefully you all get something from it as well. It would be really cool for all of us who… Continue reading Weekend Writer: Inspiration and the Creative Life, or Chapter One of Wonderbook by Jeff Vandermeer

Review: Avatar the Last Airbender: The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee
Hey all, Dani here. I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this book yet. It's been a couple weeks since I finished it, and lately I've been doing pretty decent about getting the reviews up within a few days of reading it. Ooops. I guess I've been a bit preoccupied with other stuff. Anyway, today's… Continue reading Review: Avatar the Last Airbender: The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee
Review: The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang
Hey all, Dani here. I have not posted up as many NetGalley reviews as I've wanted to, but that's because I've been reading a little bit slower the past couple weeks. I'd still like to have a good reading month and get a good number of reviews up for the #Reviewathon. My review ratio on… Continue reading Review: The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang
Manga Review: Black Clover Vol 8
Hey all, Dani here. I got a few new books on writing and RPG story craft in the mail today, and it seems like they are full of some really great essays, so I'm excited to start reading them. Oh, and I've also figured out my next couple of book purchases, which are also on… Continue reading Manga Review: Black Clover Vol 8
Comic Review: The Mighty Thor Vol 1
Hey all, Dani here. Today I am bringing you a comic/graphic novel review, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on it. Should I make a disclaimer that I just really enjoy superhero stories and so I may be biased towards more positive reviews? I generally don't have negative things to say about these superpowered… Continue reading Comic Review: The Mighty Thor Vol 1
Calendar Girls: August 2019
Hey all, Dani here. I'm going to make today's post pretty quick. Because honestly after all the walking and panels and geekery of the past five days, I'm actually super tired, and right now I am finding it difficult to focus on writing up these posts. So I'm going to get this one finished and… Continue reading Calendar Girls: August 2019
Review: Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
Hey all, Dani here. It has been another very nice day at Gen Con, but I'm glad we're going to have an early night tonight. Some relaxation at the hotel, especially the hotel hot tub, will be great. All right, well let's just keep moving and grooving with all these posts and reviews and awesomeness.… Continue reading Review: Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
July Wrap Up
Hey all, Dani here. It's my birthday and I'm sitting in panels, ooh yeah, writing panels. LOL. Hello everybody. Yes, I wrote this intro before we actually got started with Gen Con, so this paragraph may just be pretty vague. Oh well, there's nothing I can really do to help that. You will definitely be… Continue reading July Wrap Up
Weekly Wrap-Up (24)
Hey all, Dani here. At the time this post goes live on my blog, we should be either at an Irish pub, enjoying some delicious shepard's pie, or at a Scottish pub, enjoying scotch eggs. I am not typically someone who does the whole bar hopping thing; it's usually not fun for me. But considering… Continue reading Weekly Wrap-Up (24)
Review: Roomies by Christina Lauren
Hey all, Dani here. Yeah, I think this is my third Christina Lauren book read this year. What can I say? I'm in a tiny bit of a contemporary romance mood and I think the writing duo is really good. I'm not interested in their Beautiful Bastard series, but all of their other stuff sounds… Continue reading Review: Roomies by Christina Lauren
