Hey all, Dani here. Wow, this is such a timely topic for me, because I actually just DNF'd a book this morning. So, I guess let's talk about that. First up, just in case you don't know, DNF stands for Did Not Finish. This is a topic I have seen discussed all over the book… Continue reading Discussion: DNFing Books

Review: To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
Hey all, Dani here. The workweek is over finally. Woohoo! I'm ready to kick back, relax, and do some more reading. Yep, that's about all I have to say for this intro. Oh, wait, okay, so I read this book technically for NetGalley's #Reviewathon, though I didn't get my review up in time, and I… Continue reading Review: To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
Weekly Wrap-Up (29)
Hey all, Dani here. Today was a super rough day at work. I was put in a rotation that I haven't done by myself, only during training, and that training was a couple of hours at least a month ago. So my body is sore, my mind is tired, and I am so glad to… Continue reading Weekly Wrap-Up (29)
August Wrap-Up and September TBR
Hey all, Dani here. Another month of 2019 has come and gone. It was a pretty decent month overall, though I still feel like I was a little slumped in the reading area for the month, which is silly, I know. I still did read a good number of books, but I just feel like… Continue reading August Wrap-Up and September TBR
Calendar Girls: September 2019
Hey all, Dani here. It has been a long weekend and I am definitely tired from running around the Ohio Renaissance Festival yesterday. I'm probably going to have an early night tonight. But it's okay, because I had a lot of fun, and Damian and I managed to get a few more ideas for our… Continue reading Calendar Girls: September 2019
Recommendations: Jim C Hines
Hey all, Dani here. So this is a much different post than what I was originally going to write. I was going to either do a post where I recommended 5 books to Damian and he recommended 5 books to me, or a co-worker suggested that I make a recommendations post for books to buy… Continue reading Recommendations: Jim C Hines
Review: The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
Hey all, Dani here. It has been a long week, but I am sincerely glad it's over. We have a slight electrical issue that popped up at the house, so this post is coming up a little later than I had originally intended. We're hoping to find a solution tomorrow, but thankfully the problem is… Continue reading Review: The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow
Weekly Wrap-Up (28)
Hey all, Dani here. Man, it bums me out when I have small weekly wrap-ups. I mean, I know I'm still doing decent reading overall, but after the past few months, I feel like this month has been kinda slow. Realistically I can look at my list of books for my wrap-up and it actually… Continue reading Weekly Wrap-Up (28)
Review: Fan the Fame by Anna Priemaza
Hey all, Dani here. I am a geek, and as such I absolutely love to read books where the main characters are fangirls and fanboys, or that geekdom is a big part of their lives. Needless to say, I was super excited to find out about this book, and I flew through it pretty quickly.… Continue reading Review: Fan the Fame by Anna Priemaza
Manga Review: Black Clover, Vol 9
Hey all, Dani here. It's the final week of August already. Just wow. Of course I'm really looking forward to this weekend because it is a long holiday weekend. To be fair though, Damian and I have big plans: a family reunion, a couple nights in a hotel, and a full day running around the… Continue reading Manga Review: Black Clover, Vol 9
