Hey all, Dani here.
Hey, it’s my last post of the year! I wish I had posted more regularly through the year, but sometimes life happens. As a reminder, my December Book Haul post will probably be mid-to-late January, as I am waiting for the arrival of my December OwlCrate, which they currently estimate as being ready to ship mid-January. My FairyLoot box for December arrived today, so that’s pretty exciting.
I guess that leads to an announcement about a change happening with my book hauls and unboxings. I have canceled my OwlCrate subscription and have moved over to FairyLoot. The box price is pretty much the same after a few different price increases from OwlCrate in the past year or so. And FairyLoot focuses more on Fantasy books, whereas OwlCrate does some contemporary or horror or whatever too…and I mostly read fantasy. When I read outside that genre it’s because I’ve found a book that sounds interesting.
My December haul post will include both my FairyLoot and OwlCrate unboxings because December is the last month I was an OwlCrate subscriber.
All right, well let’s jump into November’s book haul.

Hey, I can say that I’ve read a handful of these…the comic books and manga volumes and Lore Olympus at least. And okay, I’ve read the first couple books in the Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. Oh, and I’ve read the His Fair Assassin trilogy by Robin LaFevers; I just needed to pick up the new covers because I love them so much more than the original covers.
Again, this is another month where I have a number of books I really want to read, and yet that reading drive isn’t there. It’s frustrating.
So, anyway November was a pretty good book haul month. Now let’s jump into the OwlCrate Unboxing.

November’s theme was Dreaming in the Dark…and okay, I’ll admit that I couldn’t figure out what the book was going to be…which meant that I ended up buying it during a trip to Barnes & Noble like two weeks before my box arrived. Oh well. My favorite item from this box is obviously the Shades of Magic book tin, which completes that four tin set. Now, it should also be noted that this November box is supposed to have the annual reading planner in it, but due to shipping issues, it was majorly delayed…so the planner will be coming…sometime…eventually.
All right, well that is all from me for 2021. I might try and do a post tomorrow. Don’t know if it will be a 2022 goals post, or a favorite reads of 2021 post, or a most anticipated of 2022 post, or what. We’ll see what I come up with before my regularly scheduled D&D session tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks for sticking with me everyone. I can’t believe that 2022 will be my seventh year with this blog. You all are wonderful, and I’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
