Hey all, Dani here.
Yes, it’s December and I’m just now bringing you my August Haul and OwlCrate Unboxing. We’ll just stick with the fact that this whole pandemic has been rough on a lot of people and so lapses and hiatuses are totally fine. Still, I am hoping to get back to a more regular posting schedule in 2022.
So this week I’ll be catching up on my book hauls from the last handful of months. These are easy posts for me to put together, which means I will hopefully be able to start building up a bank of written review posts and such to get the year started off right. But again, no promises.
I’ve felt so bad about not posting regularly, and I’ve missed it. I’ll probably also try to do a catch up on life events and such post soon too…so if you have any questions for me, leave them in the comments.
Anyway, let’s start with the August book haul…

The children’s books were technically a gift for the daughter of a friend, but yes, I did read them before I wrapped them up. It really helped with my Goodreads Reading Challenge, so that was nice. And actually, the books were pretty cute and fun. I enjoyed reading them.

Well, when it comes to the books that I bought and kept…I’ve at least read all of the manga volumes, so it isn’t much overall, but it is something. This year has been full of books I’ve wanted to read, but my drive to read has not been as strong as in the past. I’m hoping that I’ll be back to binge-reading again soon enough, although I don’t know how I’ll ever catch up considering all of the books coming out every month. It won’t stop me from trying.

August was also when I received my physical rewards for The Legend of Vox Machina Kickstarter I backed.
Okay, now onto the OwlCrate Unboxing.

The August Theme for OwlCrate was Dark Academia. My favorite items are the book tin and the book sleeve, although I can say that this box has more items I would actually used compared to some. The bookmark looks more like a Christmas tree ornament to me, but it’s still pretty cool. I don’t know about taking the standard black cover for A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee and changing it to white. It seems a bit too bright to me, but it is still a pretty cover.
Okay, well that is all from me for today, but I’ll be back tomorrow with my September Book Haul and OwlCrate Unboxing.
