Hey all, Dani here.
I love participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon every year. There are sessions every April and October, and the past couple years there has been a Reverse Summer Readathon around July. The first couple years I participated were some of the best reading days I’ve had in my reading life. The past few years though I’ve had to work or had other activities planned so I haven’t read as much.
The next readathon is next Saturday, April 24th. Where I live in central Ohio, the readathon will be from 8:00am on Saturday until 8:00am on Sunday. You can find out all the information about this readathon at their web site.
This is another time where I have some things to do on Saturday, namely our regularly scheduled Dungeons and Dragons session. Depending on what time we start and how late we go D&D could be anywhere from 4-8 hours. Other than that…and of course sleeping, I think I should be able to fit in a decent amount of reading.
Or…at least I hope to be able to.
I’ve been pretty darn slumpy so far this year so I don’t know how successful I’ll be. But I’m going to try to get back into my reading groove.
That leads me to the issue of my readathon TBR. I…don’t quite know what I’m in the mood to read. So I’ve actually prepared four possible TBRs for this readathon.
I want to read all of these books, so that’s not helping matters. Honestly I’m debating about either waiting until readathon day and deciding what to pick up when I wake up…or put it to a vote and let you all decide for me.
So, let’s go with a vote. Let me know in the comments which TBR I should go with.
- One: The Princess Will Save You by Sarah Henning, Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan, and The Extraordinaries by T.J. Klune
- Two: We Are the Fire by Sam Taylor, and Sweet & Bitter Magic by Adrienne Tooley
- Three: The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec, and Odin’s Child by Siri Pettersen
- Four: Wild Seed by Octavia E Butler, and The Bone Maker by Sarah Beth Durst
All right, that’s all from me for today. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
I’m voting for stack 3!
