Hey all, Dani here.
As promised, here’s my slightly late post about many of the upcoming releases I am very excited for in this fall season. I try to do this every quarter, and it’s just a nice way for me to keep up with book releases, especially with how much they can change sometimes. It also helps me to work out a little bit of a book buying budget, which is nice. I purposely dropped my book buying restrictions about six months ago so that I could better support authors in the current global pandemic situation, and honestly I do not regret that decision…even though I definitely have not been able to keep up with reading all the books I’ve purchased.
Anyway, today’s post will cover book releases for September, October, and November, so let’s see how many books I have on my list this time around, because I have a feeling that it is a lot.
First up is the month of September.
Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin (Sept 1), As the Shadow Rises by Katy Rose Pool (Sept 1), Queen of Volts by Amanda Foody (Sept 1), A Dance with Fate by Juliet Marillier (Sept 1), Iron Heart by Nina Varela (Sept 8), Master of Poisons by Andrea Hairston (Sept 8), Legendborn by Tracy Deonn (Sept 15), Dead Man in a Ditch by Luke Arnold (Sept 22), The Ikessar Falcon by K.S. Villoso (Sept 22), Well Played by Jen DeLuca (Sept 22), Burning Roses by S.L. Huang (Sept 29), A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik (Sept 29).
As you can see there are a lot of great fantasy books coming out in September, and I’m so excited about all of them. I actually bought the OwlCrate exclusive edition for A Deadly Education, and depending on what the cover looks like, I might still pick up the original cover as well. We’ll see.
Okay, now moving on to October.

My Hero Academia Vol 25 by Kohei Horikoshi (Oct 6), The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab (Oct 6), The Lives of Saints by Leigh Bardugo (Oct 6), Lightbringer by Claire Legrand (Oct 13), Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse (Oct 13), How to Break an Evil Curse by Laura Morrison (Oct 13), The Once and Future Witches by Alix Harrow (Oct 13), Phoenix Extravagant by Yoon Ha Lee (Oct 20), Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Vol 5 by Hiro Mashima and Astsuo Ueda (Oct 27), Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco (Oct 27), and Shadow and Bone: Collector’s Edition by Leigh Bardugo (Oct 27).
Again, another strong month for fantasy releases. I have already read this upcoming installment of My Hero Academia, and will hopefully have a review up soon. I bought the OwlCrate Exclusive box for The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue so I’m pretty excited to see what all comes in that box. Also, there are a few of these books I’ve received from the publishers through NetGalley, so I’m really hoping to have them read and have reviews up before their respective release days.
Finally, there are the releases of November.
The Enigma Game by Elizabeth Wein (Nov 3), My Hero Academia Vigilantes Vol 8 by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court (Nov 3), Black Clover Vol 23 by Yuki Tabata (Nov 3), Rebel Rose by Emma Theriault (Nov 10), The Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winter (Nov 10), Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson (Nov 17), and Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline (Nov 24).
Oh my goodness, it is time to re-read some of my favorite books…like Ready Player One, and do a full read-through of The Stormlight Archive. November is going to be a really big month, despite actually having the fewest releases of this whole quarter.
Obviously I am very excited about a lot of books; that is true no matter what season it is. And honestly, I’m sure that I’ve probably missed some books in this list that I am still really excited for. Of course there will also be books that I’ll see hyped up on the Book Internet and I’ll end up picking those up as well. It happens all the time, and I’m not even mad about it. I love having overflowing bookshelves.
Anyway, I do think that is all from me today. What are some of your most anticipated releases of the next few months? Let me know in the comments, and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
I can’t believe how many amazing books are being released in September! I am currently reading Blood and Honey!

A Deadly Education comes out in September?! I’m in trouble. That means I have two preorders coming in this month, and the chances of me finishing my library books first is … slim.

Haha, well good luck with all your reading! At least A Deadly Education comes out at the very end of the month.

True. But I think my other pre-order comes out next week.

That would make your reading schedule a bit complicated. What’s your pre-order for next week?
