Most Anticipated Releases Winter 2019

Hey all, Dani here.

I actually almost forgot that I needed to get this post put together and posted. Whoops. That just shows you how crazy the past couple weeks have been for me. Anyway, today I’m talking about the books I’m excited for that release in the winter quarter, which for me is the months of December, January, and February.

Let’s start with December. Honestly I’m kind of glad that I don’t have a lot of anticipated releases this month, because I am still trying to play catch up from the last couple months of releases.

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi (Dec 3), Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman (Dec 3), My Hero Academia Volume 22 by Kohei Horikoshi (Dec 3), One-Punch Man Volume 18 by ONE (Dec 3)

Next up is January. What I can usually say about the releases at the very beginning of the year is that there are so many of them, and usually I am looking forward to a lot of them. So yeah, there are a lot of books I want to read, and I’m honestly hoping that I get some B&N gift cards for Christmas, because otherwise it will take me a while to get all of these. But I’m definitely hoping to stick to my book buying restriction, so we’ll see what happens.

Race to the Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse (Jan 14), Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire (Jan 7), A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer (Jan 7), Infinity Son by Adam Silvera (Jan 14), Nameless Queen by Rebecca McLaughlin (Jan 7), Tweet Cute by Emma Lord (Jan 21), Don’t Read the Comments by Eric Smith (Jan 28), Ashlords by Scott Reintgen (Jan 21), The King’s Questioner by Nikki Katz (Jan 14), Highfire by Eoin Colfer (Jan 28), Wardens of Eternity by Courtney Allison Moulton (Jan 21), One of Us is Next by Karen M McManus (Jan 7), Chosen by Kiersten White (Jan 7), Black Clover Volume 19 by Yuki Tabata (Jan 7)

I can say that at the moment I have been granted access to Tweet CuteAshlordsHighfire, and Wardens of Eternity on NetGalley, so I’m very excited to get to reading them soon. This also means that these books will be at the bottom of my January buy list, though I still definitely plan on picking them up.

Finally is February. It isn’t as long of an anticipated list as January, but there are still a number of books I’m definitely looking forward to. What’s also nice about having a strong release calendar at the beginning of the year is that I end up starting my Goodreads Reading Challenge with a decent number of completed reads.

A Blight of Blackwings by Kevin Hearne (Feb 4),  Deathless Divide by Justina Ireland (Feb 4), Heart of Flames by Nicki Pau Preto (Feb 11), Foul is Fair by Hannah Capin (Feb 18), All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace (Feb 4), The Unwilling by Kelly Braffet (Feb 11), My Hero Academia Volume 23 by Kohei Horikoshi (Feb 4), Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Volume 3 by Hiro Mashima and Atsuo Ueda (Feb 18)

Other NetGalley books I’ve been granted access to include A Blight of BlackwingsFoul is Fair, and All the Stars and Teeth.

  1. I’m also kinda happy not much is releasing in December, a little time to catch up haha! I’m only waiting for children of virtue and vengeance!
I also really cannot wait for Heart of Flames!
