Manga Madness Readathon (Round 5) TBR

Hey all, Dani here.

The fifth round of the Manga Madness Readathon is coming up soon–February 16-26th to be exact, and because I still have a couple shelves of manga I own that I haven’t read yet, I figured why not join in again. This is a readathon hosted by Jade at Drink Coffee and Read Books, and I have participated in this in a couple of the previous sessions, so I’m excited to give it another go.

There are three different ways to participate in this readathon, which I think is pretty cool. Option 1: you take on the bingo board of challenges Jade has created for this round, Option 2: read whatever you want, and Option 3: stick to one manga series. There are also Instagram challenges you can try if you’d like. On social media use the hashtag #MangaMadnessReadathon for posting or following your fellow participants.

So for this round of the readathon, I am going to attempt to read the entire Akame Ga Kill! series. That is my primary goal, but if I have extra time in my schedule, I may get completely caught up on Black Clover as well, because I am currently obsessed with the series.

There are a couple other manga that I’m interested in at the moment, thanks to reading the first volumes in January, but they are newer manga and so there are only a few volumes currently out. Plus, I’m trying to focus on what I already own instead of going out and buying a bunch of new manga…though I’m sure that will still happen at some point.

That is really all from me today. I know that it is a short post, but I wanted to get my TBR announcement up with enough time before the event, just in case some of you other awesome readers would like to join in on the Manga Madness Readathon as well. Whether you join in or not, I hope you are reading some awesome books this month, and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.

  1. I really admire your aspiration to read the entire series! I’d love to know what you think about it once you’re done since it’s such a well known series. Personally, my goal is to catch up with The Lady and Her Butler. It’s a romcom manhwa that I’ve been hearing a ton of great things about recently. I tried it out a while ago and loved how independent the female main character was. It was super refreshing to see that in a genre where that’s often not the case. So I’m excited to catch up with it now that I have the time.
