What I’m Reading (45)

Hey all, Dani here.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and that you got at least a few really cool presents. Let me know if you got any exciting book related gifts. Anyway, welcome back to my weekly post where I talk about the books I’ve finished reading in the past week, the books I’m currently reading, and the ones I’m hoping to start very soon.

It has been an interesting week since my last post. I wanted to do a lot of reading since I wouldn’t be at work, and I didn’t have much planned except for a few Christmas events with various parts of mine and my fiance’s families.

But as with what always seems to happen around the holidays, we spent a lot of time running around. Then there’s all the movies to watch, plus my fiance is currently hooked on playing with his new Nintendo Switch, and of course I’m trying to get completely organized and ahead of the game on this blog for the rest of the year and into the beginning of next year.

So I’m afraid I’m not reading as much as I would like to be, but I’m still managing to read a little, which is nice. If we had been able to squeeze an extra night into our hotel stay then I bet I would have read a lot more.

Anyway, over the past week I managed to finish reading Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri, and I also read Volumes 4 and 5 of Fairy Tail.

As for my current reads, I’m hoping to start and finish a bunch of books very soon. It’s the middle of the Short-a-thon, so I have a bunch of 300 page books that I’m hoping to fly through. And if that doesn’t seem likely, then I’ll devour several volumes of manga to finish out my 2018.

I still have quite a few books I’d like to get to before the year is out, but my reading moods have been a bit unpredictable the past few days, and I’m guessing that will continue for a little while. So I can’t exactly say what I’ll read next. I do know that there are still a couple books on my current reads that I’d like to finish, namely these two, so I should probably make them my focus.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday time, and that you are reading plenty of awesome books to wrap up your 2018. Let me know what great books are getting your attention right now. I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
