Hey all, Dani here.
It’s the middle of the week already! And all I have to do is make it through two more work days and then I get a week and a half off work because of the holidays. And while I have quite a bit of family and friend type obligations, I also should have plenty of time to get some reading accomplished. I am so happy about that.
But anyway, welcome back to my weekly post where I talk about the books I have finished reading in the last week, the books I am currently reading, and the books that I am planning and hoping to start reading in the next week.
I have had a pretty darn good reading week, if I do say so myself, even if I didn’t exactly stick to the reading plans I mentioned in last week’s post. Oh well, what else is new in the life of a mood reading bookworm?
I started and finished The Adventurer’s Guild by Zach Loran Clark and Nick Eliopulos, and Miles Morales: Spider-Man by Jason Reynolds, and then I started and finished Dragonshadow by Elle Katharine White. I also managed to finish Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven, so I’m super pleased with all of my reading…though now I have only made my reviews to write list that much longer. Oh, and I decided to toss a couple manga volumes into the mix as well, so I flew through Black Clover Volumes 4 and 5.
For my current reads, I am still working my way through The Way of Kings Part One by Brandon Sanderson and I’ve just started Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri. Oh, and I’m still working on Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon as well–I really need to focus on that one; I have about 400 pages to go, and I’d really like to finish it before the end of the year.
Finally, there’s the books that are next on my reading list. Oh man, what do I want to read next? Pretty much everything, because I just keep adding books to my TBR, even though I definitely do not have that much free time in my schedule. So it could be one of these books…or it could be something else. Most of these qualify for the Diverse December readathon, and I’m enjoying everything I’m reading for it. I just don’t exactly know specifically what I’m in the mood for at the moment. I want cute contemporaries, I want humor, I want action/adventure, and I want fantasy. Pretty much I’m all over the place. Thankfully I have a large quantity of books stockpiled specifically for when I get into specific reading moods.
Well, I guess that is all from me today. How is your reading going this week and/or this month? I hope you’re reading some great books. I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
Ah, I’ve got THE BONELESS MERCIES upcoming on my TBR too!
Reading is going okay this month! I didn’t give myself too much since things are getting so busy!

Awesome! I hope we both enjoy it.
I think I did the opposite. I keep adding more and more books to my December TBR and it is getting ridiculous, lol.
