Hey all, Dani here.
As it is rapidly approaching Christmastime, I figured it was time to do a few fun and festive book tags, and thankfully I was tagged for a couple and could rearrange my blog schedule enough to fit them in.
This is one of a couple holiday themed posts I was tagged to do by Amber at Step Into a Book World, so go check out her blog because it is awesome. Also, the original creator of this post is Jenn over at A Page of Jenniely, so go check out her page as well.
All right, let’s just jump right into the rules and then the questions.
THE RULES:
-
CREDIT THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU AND LINK THEIR POST
-
TAG THE ORIGINAL CREATOR AND THEIR POST
-
TICK THE ONES YOU’VE DONE
-
CROSS THE ONES YOU HAVEN’T
-
TAG MORE BLOGGERS!

1.) Received an ARC and not reviewed it
I honestly don’t know how to answer this one. There are a few ARCs I have that I haven’t reviewed…BUT, I am working on getting around to them. Some just take longer than others.
2.) Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley
I can honestly say that I try not to let it get down that low. Though currently I’m at like 70% and I’m not wholly pleased about that so I need to get moving on reading and reviewing some of them.
3.) Rated a book on GoodReads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)
Well, my Goodreads is under my birth name, not the pen name I use for blogging and publishing so I can’t promise a full review to come on my blog.
4.) Folded down the page of a book
Absolutely not! I’ve been known to give bookmarks to people I see folding down pages.
5.) Accidentally spilled on a book
This one is a little iffy for me because it isn’t an actual spill…more like a little dribble, you know a drop or two of water or something.
6.) DNF a book this year
Yep, one….King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard.
7.) Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it
I buy books to read them, not to sit and look pretty somewhere.
8.) Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)
Look, I like to give myself reading breaks from tasks like chores/cleaning or homework or whatever.
9.) Skim read a book
I know that sometimes it looks like I’m skim reading a book, but I have a pretty fast reading speed so no, I like to fully read my books. Now, I may skim through some places during rereads, but even then it isn’t all that likely to happen.
10.) Completely missed your GoodReads goal
I usually have to increase my goal 3 or 4 times a year.
11.) Borrowed a book and not returned it
No, though my brother’s dog didn’t chew up the cover of one of my library books once and I had to pay for a replacement copy.
12.) Broke a book buying ban
The only time I have truly succeeded on a book buying ban was when I was unemployed and therefore had no money to spend on books. So now I simply tell myself instead of a ban I am restricted only to books I have on my auto-buy or highly anticipated list. Everything else has to wait.
13.) Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about
Not exactly, because I typically at least remember the main points of the books I’ve read.
14.) Wrote in a book you were reading
Ugh, no! Well, unless it is a work book because those are meant to be written in.
15.) Finished a book and not added it to your GoodReads
Technically yes, but that is mostly because the book wasn’t listed on Goodreads at the time.
And that’s all for the post today. Since we are so near the holidays, I don’t want to specifically tag anyone, but if this sounds fun and you’d like to do it, then I TAG YOU! Have fun and Happy Holidays!
