Hey all, Sam here. It's the final check in (I totally just thought those words to the melody of "Final Countdown" -- I was in marching band for too many years; that was a standard stand tune). Today is also my birthday, so hopefully as this post goes live, I'm having a great day, but… Continue reading PaWriCo Bookish Bootcamp July 25-July 31 Check-In
Hey all, Sam here. With Gen Con starting tomorrow, I'm definitely in a tabletop gaming mood, which in general is true because I'm in two rather awesome gaming groups and we have a couple rather fun D&D campaigns going. But lately I've been even more in a epic heroes quest/fantasy adventure mood because of some… Continue reading NetGalley Review: Dungeons & Dragons: The Fallbacks: Dealing with Dragons by Jaleigh Johnson
Hey all, Sam here. This week(end)--as in Thursday thru Sunday, David and I will be in Indianapolis for Gen Con once again. We look forward to this trip every year, and every year we have a great time. David will be playing a bunch of different board games and such, and I'll be spending a… Continue reading Gen Con 2025 Schedule
Hey all, Sam here. I definitely meant to have this post up on Tuesday, but we had a huge storm come through and we lost power for a good portion of the day. Then Wednesday we were doing the final bits of prep work for a downtown market we vend David's 3d prints at, and… Continue reading May Wrap-Up
Hey all, Sam here. You know, I haven't done a Tabletop Tuesday post in a little while, and I might try to start getting back to that with a couple tabletop posts a month because David and I have two rather solid D&D groups going right now and I'd love to talk about that more,… Continue reading NetGalley Review: The Last Session Graphic Novel by Jasmine Walls, Dozerdraws, and Micah Myers
Hey all, Sam here. In a very weird timely coincidence, today I am posting the review for this book...and tonight my friends and I are going to be sitting around the gaming table taking on Strahd. Wish us luck. Hopefully the dice are on our side for the next couple of sessions (because we already… Continue reading NetGalley Review: Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd by Delilah S Dawson
Hey all, Sam here. Wow, well we are already finished with another month, which is always an interesting experience. This year continues to somehow both drag so slowly while also speeding past. Like, how are we already in the fourth month of the year? But also, how has it ONLY been three full months so… Continue reading March Wrap-Up
Hey all, Sam here. I started this blog back in January 2016, which means that this year is my 10th year of doing this, which feels incredibly wild to me. Without a doubt I can say that 2019 and 2020 were the best years of the blog, and the most prolific. I miss being able… Continue reading My Top Ten Posts (So Far)
Hey all, Sam here. Happy New Year! Well, at least I hope it is a happy new year. I definitely had to prep this post up in advance because this is the busiest time of the year for my job and I didn't know if I would have the time to get anything written if… Continue reading Goals for 2025
Hey all, Sam here. I guess I'm going to start today's post by referring back to the two previous posts about PaWriCo: first the announcement of my project goals and deadline, and second my Week 1 Check-In. It has been a week since that last check-in, so if I'm serious about trying to work towards… Continue reading PaWriCo Week 2 Check-In
