Hey all, Sam and David here.
Midweek again already…and the start of a new month. Wow. I can’t believe that. The weather is starting to get a bit nicer, so we are starting to do a little more “spring cleaning” and work around the house. One of our bigger projects that we can handle without hiring a professional is to get our front porch ready for spending time. Our house has a screened in porch, but one of the screen windows is completely missing screen, so we need to get that fixed up, and then we need to get ourselves some porch furniture. The one bit of the porch that we need to hire someone for is the electrical work. We need to fix the wiring and hook up new ceiling fans…because the previous owners put indoor fans outdoors and it didn’t go so well.
I also think our cats will enjoy getting to spend some time outside, especially since they love bird watching.
Soon we should also be taking the plastic sheeting off our windows, which means being able to open up more of the blinds to let in that natural light during the day. We’re also excited because the nice weather means we’ll be able to get some contractors in to fix our slight roofing issues, specifically our eaves.
All right, so let’s go ahead and jump into our weekly post where we talk about what we’ve been up to over the last week.
Sam

Reading: The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten, My Hero Academia Vol 30 by Kohei Horikoshi
I didn’t get nearly as much reading done over the weekend as I had been hoping, but I still have quite a few in progress reads that are getting closer to completion, which is great…especially because Goodreads is showing that I’m starting to fall behind on my reading goal progress. Honestly I should probably stop getting so invested in the many re-watches I’ve been doing, because they are a bit time consuming.
Oh, also this being a new month, it heralds the start of Middle Grade March as well. I don’t know how many books I’ll be able to read, because I have a bunch of reads I should accomplish for NetGalley reads and reviews…but I have a BUNCH of options for Middle Grade reads on my shelves.

As you can see…I have a large number of options for potential reads for the month, and they should read quite quickly, so maybe March will be a really good reading month. We’ll see.
Watching: “Gilmore Girls” Season 3, Season 4, and Season 5 (in progress), “Nashville” Season 2 and Season 3 (in progress), “The Flash” Season 2 and Season 3 (in progress), “Not Dead Yet” Episode 4, and “Shadow and Bone” Season 1 (in progress), “Lost Girl” Season 2 (in progress)
Umm…yeah, so I’m watching a lot of things. I’ll watch a handful of episodes and then decide that I need a little bit of a different vibe, so I’ll jump to something else. David and I are watching “Shadow and Bone” again so we’re ready for when Season 2 drops in a couple weeks.
Writing: My March goal is to sit down and write a minimum of 500 words on one of my writing projects each day, so I’ll be doing weekly updates here on how well I keep up with that goal. If I can really get focused and get writing, then maybe I can get to work on publishing stories again. I think I have a better grasp of everything with writing and editing and promoting and stuff this time, so I’ll do a lot better than I did a decade ago. Oh, wow…it has been a decade since my last book. Wow, I should definitely look at that book and its sequels again. Maybe I can do an editing/expanding edit on it and re-release it and then finally continue with the series.
Other: I guess I’ll put my gaming update here…I decided to restart my Island on “Animal Cross: New Horizons.” Why? I have no idea, but I have, and so I’m working on getting that all organized and settled into.
And, we had what’s turning into a weekly game night at a friends, and we played Forbidden Island and then Blockbuster. It was a really fun time. We just managed to succeed with Forbidden Island, which was great, since I was the only person who had played it before. And then Blockbuster is two teams going head to head on a movie trivia game that is sort of played like Taboo or Charades. That was a pretty amusing time that reinforced that there’s a bunch of movies we should probably watch.
David
Gaming: Still kind of hooked on Warframe. Almost managed to finish 25 rounds in a defense mission, however I did manage to get to Mastery Rank 5. Progress has been made as i have almost maxed out the 3 Warframes i currently have. Out of Excalibur, Volt, and Mesa I think Volt is my favorite so far. I have 3 Warframe blueprints to go for but I think it may be a while before I will be able to build them. In the meantime I’ll focus on maxing out weapons.
Printing: the army continues to build as we focus on some Orchid Dragons and Hippocampus mostly. Other than having to make a few bed adjustments they have been running pretty good after a couple of days off. I’m hoping to get the couple that are down back to working order on my next couple of days off.
Painting: Not much progress made this week on this front but hopefully if the printers don’t take too much to get back up and running then I may be able to get some of painting done as well.
All right, that is all from us for today. Feel free to let us know what you’ve been up to in the comments, because we’d love to know.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and we’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
