Welcome to the Free State of Geek!

Hey all, Sam here.

Sorry for the silence the past couple weeks. Had some conversations that led to sort of a depressive funk. Coming out of that was a little bit of a process, but it led to the realization that it was time to formalize some changes that we had been planning on for a little while.

I had said that I would be migrating my content away from Mousai Books to Free State of Geek. Well, I financially made that change like a week ago. For now searching for the old site will automatically connect you to the new one…but I will be cancelling Mousai Books in a few weeks.

Making the decision to switch over to Free State of Geek also meant talking over content ideas and a possible schedule.

So the husband and I have talked it over these past few days and we think we have a loose schedule worked out for now.

• Manga Monday – obviously I can’t get rid of my manga review schedule, so expect the reviews to continue on Mondays.
• Tabletop Tuesday – either myself or my husband will talk about some aspect of tabletop gaming, whether that is talking about an RPG related topic or reviewing a tabletop accessory or reviewing a board game.
• WIP Wednesday – this is a weekly check in post, where we can talk about what we’re reading, watching, playing, writing, crafting…whatever.
• Book Reviews – Thursdays (and possibly Saturdays) are for talking about books and reviewing them.
• Weekend Writer – I’m going to try to keep to talking about writing and creativity and books on writing on Fridays. That feels like a good way to start off the weekend.

And since that’s a lot of content, we’re just going to leave it at that…although bonus reviews or discussions or whatever might pop up on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Now, we’re going to try to have this content here on the blog…but we’ve also been seriously discussing creating content for a YouTube channel. You can find us as Free State of Geek there as well. With that, we’re also hoping to have some photo shoots so our Instagram can have content that matches what is going on with the blog and YouTube.

All right, so it’s a short post for today, but the regular content will be starting tomorrow. Thank you so much for following me/us these past years, and I sincerely hope you keep following us into the future of our blog. I appreciate you so much, and I’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
