Hey all, Sam here.
Wow, well we’ve reached the third and final 2022 book haul. It was definitely a good year for book releases and new finds. Seriously, I’ve found so many interesting books and stories the past few months…because I actually started reading again.
I think I might try and do a 2022 Reading Wrap-Up post, to briefly cover everything I read. A lot of them I’m going to try and review in the upcoming months, but that depends on how many posts I start doing each week. I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself to post too frequently. Sure, I’d love to be able to go back to the time when I posted every single day, but I don’t want to burn myself out and end up sending this blog on hiatus again.
Anyway, let’s get to talking about the last couple months of book purchases from the year.

Well, I’ve read 9 of the books in this section, so that’s nice. And then there’s some others I’m hoping to read soon, so I guess we’ll see what happens.

I’ve read 7 books in this section, a majority of them manga, so there’s plenty to look forward to as future reads. Plus this has photos from my stop at the Strand bookstore in NYC, which is a place I had really wanted to go visit for a while.

How many books can I buy in a year? Answer: a lot. Critical Role: The Mighty Nein: The Nine Eyes of Lucien by Madeline Roux, The Luminaries by Susan Dennard, Against All Gods by Miles Cameron, The Cloisters by Katy Hays, MOAR! There’s 5 books in this section that I’ve already read, so not bad, but not amazing either. So I’m hoping to get some more of them read sometime soon, but I guess it all depends on what all happens with work and getting house stuff down and all of that.

It feels never-ending, but I promise, the end is near. I needed to replace my Shadowhunters books, and I felt a desire to re-read them, so I managed to snag them all at a good deal. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare, Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare, Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare, Old Magic by Marianne Curley, The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, and Robin Wasserman, Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, Kelly Link, and Robin Wasserman, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare, City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare, City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare, The Shadowhunter’s Codex by Cassandra Clare and Joshua Lewis, Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, and Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare.
Okay, I’m going to be honest, I think I’ve only read like 9 or 10 of the Shadowhunters book, so I need to do a re-read and then finally catch up on everything. But I generally read these fairly quickly, so I’m not worried about it taking too long to do a series read-through.

I’ve read 8 of these books, which isn’t bad considering that these are some of my most recent purchases. And I can see a few of these that will be going on my Middle Grade March TBR, so hopefully I’ll be able to add quite a few of these to my read list within the next few months.
And…that’s it? I think. I certainly hope so, at least.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
