A brief break from my massive pile of reviews as I also try to catch up on my unboxings and book hauls. The June box just arrived at my house yesterday (and thank goodness for that since we move in a week and I would have to worry about if the address forwarding works). And this just arrived box is the last full box I’m getting, because I’ve switched over to the book-only option. While I’m sad about that because everything in the boxes is absolutely stunning, I also know that I don’t use most of what comes in the box, so it just piles up and clutters my library area. I don’t think the book only option comes with the bookmarks though…which I don’t exactly need more bookmarks but I still really enjoy getting them. Besides I’m only really saving like $10 by doing book only instead of the full box, so I might just change my mind, because it’s probably worth it.
Anyway, let’s go ahead and jump into March’s Threads of Fate box.
This was a jam packed box, honestly. Like, seriously, there were so many things in that black box. It’s one of the best things about getting these boxes…opening them up and pulling everything out. If you want to get all kinds of bookish goodies each month that makes it feel like you’re celebrating your birthday or Christmas or something, but every month instead of just once a year.
Let’s take a closer look at the books and the other items of the box.
The tea tin might be my favorite thing in this box (aside from the book), although it’s always nice to have covers for pillows, and a bonus wooden bookmark is great too. Also a deck of cards can always be useful, so that’s fun to have.
Honestly though, I just really love the FairyLoot edition of this book. The pastel color palette just makes the book seem like a nice relaxing story, although I’m sure there’s much more to it–don’t judge a book by the cover and all that. But the sprayed and stenciled edges are beautiful as well. FairyLoot really knows how to put out stunning special edition books that you want to feature on your shelves and in photos.
Oh, and this was the month where I started taking photos of the naked hardcover and the endpages and such. So we should take a look at those now.
