Even after getting an almost full day of sleep, I still feel pretty tired. It’ll take another couple days for me to somewhat adjust to my new work and sleep schedule. I guess it just means that I will need an extra cup of coffee or something to get through my shift tonight. That’s fine. And in the next few days I’ll know if my time on the night shift ends this week or if it continues in a temporary permanency.
Anyway, welcome back to my blog, and today’s second Manga Monday post. This review gets me completely caught up on My Hero Academia, at least until next month when the next volume is released. Thankfully I still have plenty of other manga volumes to talk about, so Manga Monday will continue as planned for a while now.

My Thoughts

I’ve actually enjoyed seeing the battle training between Class 1-A and Class 1-B (plus Shinso) It’s fascinating to see the differences in their abilities and how they’ve approached their lessons and such. Class 1-A has been in the spotlight their whole time at UA, and 1-B has used that time to train in the shadows and to watch and study the other class, which does give them certain advantages. But it is also clear that there are many in 1-B who get distracted by their desire to be in the spotlight and their jealousy that they aren’t.
This battle training has definitely placed me in the category of being a fan of Shinso as well. I went back and watched the first two seasons of “My Hero Academia” and watching him at the Sports Festival was a fun experience. I saw so much that I had missed before, because of not really knowing much about his character. It is cool that experiencing a character and story again with more information makes you notice little threads of foreshadowing that you hadn’t noticed before.
And oh man, this volume also introduces us to a new level of Deku’s ability of One for All, so I’m immensely curious what this means for the future. Of course this also ties into something we saw in the new “My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising” movie with Deku connecting with the previous carriers of this Quirk.
I am so ready for the next volume.
