Prediction Book Tag

So, normally today would be a discussion post, but I’ll admit that I had no idea what sort of bookish discussion to have today. Then I was scrolling through my post drafts and I saw that I had this tag just sitting there, so why not answer the tag questions today.

Plus I was tagged for this by two different awesome book bloggers, so I feel like I shouldn’t abandon it to my drafts folder for too long.

Other than that my plans for today are really to just relax and read. We already went to the store to get some very necessary blackout curtains so I’ll be able to sleep during the day for this upcoming work week, and also to pick up the Instant Pot I wanted to get my mom for Mother’s Day.

Prediction for my NEXT READ

I’m actually picking this one up tonight, as soon as I finish my current read, so it’s not much of a prediction. I could actually tell you all my next four or five reads after this one too.

Prediction for my NEXT 5-STAR READ

Okay, I’m going to go with the idea that re-reads don’t count, or else I’d be putting Colorworld by Rachel Kelly or Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir here. I have high hopes for this newest release by Robert Jackson Bennett, even if I keep putting it off. I promise, I am going to make myself read all the way through it very soon.

Prediction for my NEXT 1-STAR READ

I can’t answer this one. I have given out maybe one or two 1-star ratings in my LIFE, and if I predict a book to be such a rating I’m not even going to pick it up.

Prediction for my NEXT LOVE INTEREST / COOL CHARACTER

Okay, sorry, I know it’s probably cheating to use a re-read for this prompt, but I don’t care. I don’t actually get crushes on book characters anymore, not after meeting my heart and soul partner, Damian, so I’ll just focus on the cool character aspect of the prompt, and really, who else could I pick but Gideon?

Prediction for my NEXT BOOK BUY

So…I don’t plan on my next book haul being just these two books; I’ll probably do a random browse-buy of a few of others, but both of these books come out on May 12, so I’ll probably be picking them up sometime in the next week or so.

Prediction for my NEXT BOOK TO GIVE ME A HANGOVER

Hmm…I keep from a book hangover by just jumping into another book that I think will also be good, or if I’m really worried then I’ll jump into a different genre or something, which is pretty helpful. But I think any of these books could maybe give me a moment to pause and really contemplate what I’ll pick up after I’ve finished them.
