Hey all, Dani here.
I hope you are all having a nice Sunday. I’ve been pretty darn lazy so far today…a whole lot of video gaming and binge watching TV. But I just read a whole book (184 pages), so I guess that’s progress. I’d like to read another book or two today, though, so we’ll see what happens. And I guess I need to figure out what I’m doing for dinner.
But today I have a special announcement post, an event I’m going to host that will take us through the rest of 2020. Let’s jump into all the details.
I want to read through the entire Colorworld series again, and I decided that I want to do it as a community readalong.
For anyone interested in joining me, I have a rough plan in place right now, but I will fine-tune it over the next few weeks.
What is one of the important details for this is that I also plan on doing a giveaway (or maybe two) through this process.
First things first though, I would love to help people out if they want to join me on this quest, at least in the beginning. So long as I can gift you a Kindle copy of the book–I’m based in the US, so I don’t believe I can buy copies through foreign Amazon sites–I plan to do so. Up to 10 different readers.
That’s right people. I am going to buy 10 people Kindle copies of the first book in the Colorworld series.
Then, just in time for Christmas, I’m going to do a giveaway for anyone who has participated in at least one of the readalongs for books 1-5. I will be gifting one signed paperback set of Colorworld, Teleworld, Lumaworld, Shadoworld, and Dreamworld to a randomly selected person. That is a $70 USD set, not including taxes or shipping. Speaking of, sadly, because of shipping prices, I can’t do international shipping–unless the international winner is willing to split that cost with me.
Here’s the book breakdown.
Colorworld is 352 pages long with 45 chapters total.
Teleworld is 400 pages long with 51 chapters total.
Lumaworld is 446 pages long with 54 chapters total.
Shadoworld is 495 pages long with 63 chapters total.
Dreamworld is 816 pages long with 86 chapters total.
Waterworld, Volume 1: Ezra is 283 pages long with 33 chapters total.
Waterworld, Volume 2: Charlotte is 276 pages long with 29 chapters total.
Waterworld, Volume 3: Xavier is 234 pages long with 31 chapters total.
Waterworld, Volume 4: Sariah won’t be out until the end of 2020 (hopefully), but I imagine that it’s length will be fairly similar to the other volumes of Waterworld.
Reading Schedule
June 1-June 29: Colorworld
June 29-July 27: Teleworld
July 27-Aug 24: Lumaworld
Aug 24-Oct 5: Shadoworld
Oct 5-Nov 30: Dreamworld
Nov 30-Dec 14: Waterworld: Ezra
Dec 14-Dec 28: Waterworld: Charlotte
Dec 28-Jan 11: Waterworld: Xavier
Jan 11-Jan 25: Waterworld: Sariah
I still need to go through each book and break it down within the respective weeks of reading, so there can be check-in points and discussions, but this is what I’m working with right now. I’ve been wanting to do a re-read of the series, and it would be really cool to read along with others and possibly even introduce more people to this series that means so much to me.
Honestly for some people Harry Potter is that magical series, and for some it is the Shadowhunters books. Both are great series, and I have read the books at least a couple of times, but for me it is the Colorworld series that has had such a massive impact on my life and I could just read the series over and over again.
I’ll have a lot more to say about this whole process in the upcoming weeks, but I just wanted to get a quick announcement post out there. If you’re interested in joining, let me know. That’s all from me for today, but I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
I’m in. The only book I don’t have is number 6 part 3 but I can order it.

Yeah, that one came out after we saw you at Cincinnati Comic Expo, so it makes sense that you don’t have it yet.

When does Waterworld: Sarah release? Do you know if there is a way to pre-order books from Colorworld?

I don’t have a date yet, but probably Nov/Dec 2020. Since there’s no date, there’s no pre-order info for Waterworld: Sariah.
