Hey all, Dani here.
Well it’s business as usual for me and mine on this Monday…which means I’m coming back with two more Manga reviews. This is the portion of my blogging that won’t be changing at all in the coming weeks. As for the rest of it…well, if there are any authors, artists, or other creative types affected by the cancelling of all of these conventions and events then I would love to help signal boost your books, your art, your crafts. You can message me on Twitter, on Instagram, or e-mail me at danielle.thamasa@yahoo.com and we can get a post drafted up to share your creative endeavors.
All right, let’s jump into the first review for the day.

Summary
In a world of magic, Asta, a boy with anti-magic powers, will do whatever it takes to become the Wizard King!
Asta is a young boy who dreams of becoming the greatest mage in the kingdom. Only one problem—he can’t use any magic! Luckily for Asta, he receives the incredibly rare five-leaf clover grimoire that gives him the power of anti-magic. Can someone who can’t use magic really become the Wizard King? One thing’s for sure—Asta will never give up!
Just as the Royal Knights locate the Eye of the Midnight Sun’s base, the elves unleash a powerful spell that steals the bodies of some of the Clover Kingdom’s finest mages. Even Yuno may have been turned to the dark side. Can Asta knock some sense into his greatest rival?!
My Thoughts
Rating: 5 stars
I read this as part of Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon in October 2019. Actually I think I read five or six volumes in one day, and that was a fun experience. But I admit that then I was not good at taking even minimal notes about the events of the volumes. And doing a binge-read like that muddles the memory even more.
This volume is the one where the elves finally enact their plan to basically reincarnate into the bodies of some of the great mages of the Clover Kingdom. It affects so very many of the characters we have come to know, especially over the recent volumes chronicling the Royal Knight Selection Test.
It makes what is to come next seem even more difficult and harrowing. Now many of the Black Bulls and the other Magic Knights have to fight against elves who are possessing the bodies of their friends. To me it definitely means that we’re about to see some of these mages surpass their limits.
I’m currently in the middle of re-watching “My Hero Academia,” but after that I plan to start from the beginning of “Black Clover.” I had only watched the first season and perhaps half of the second season, so I’ll rewatch the beginning and then get all caught up on the anime. I know they are past this volume in the anime adaptation, so it will be fun to experience the stories again.
