Weekly Wrap-Up (43)

Hey all, Dani here.

Finally Wednesday is over! Honestly, I think this week has felt way longer than it should be, and it’s frustrating. But the week is mostly over now, and since it is Wednesday afternoon/evening, it is now time to do my weekly post where I talk about everything I’ve done and read and watched and played in the past week. I think it’s a pretty decent list this time around, so let’s go ahead and get started.

First up, let’s talk about watches because there were quite a few of them. I was slightly helped on that front by the fact that I had a flare-up of carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand/arm and resting it meant not doing a lot of typing or writing or anything, so I just binge-watched some shows and movies. We watched “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,” “Jumanji: The Next Level,” and we are continuing our watch of the fifth season of “The Flash,” but then I watched “The Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby,” “Set It Up,” and “The Knight Before Christmas,” and continued my re-watch of season 3 of “Arrow.” The third Christmas Prince movie and the Knight movie were both as entertaining and mediocre as I was expecting, the new Jumanji might actually have been better than the previous one, and Set was an unexpected delight, so I’m pretty pleased with what I’ve watched this past week.

As for my reads, well, I got through quite a few reads as well and surpassed 200 books read for the year. Now don’t get too excited. Most of my reading happened on Sunday, and I was reading all of the presents I bought for my niece for Christmas–and she’s only two years old, so none of the books are all that long.

In the past week I have read Crier’s War by Nina Varela, Little Golden Books: Frozen 2, I’m a Unicorn, Beauty and the Beast, My Little Pony: Rainbow Dash Reading Rainboom!, Trolls: Branch’s Bunker Birthday, The Little Mermaid, Reindeers are Better than People, Frozen 5-Minute Stories, and The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee.

My current reads are: Steel Crow Saga by Paul Krueger, Wardens of Eternity by Courtney Allison Moulton, and Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan.

As for what I’m hoping to read next, well, honestly, I’ll have to see how I feel once I finish my current reads, but there are so many great books I’m hoping to be able to get to before the end of the year. So here’s just a few possible options, but really, I have no idea what I’m reading next.

What I do know is that I just have one more day of work and then I can look forward to two weeks of relaxing and reading and watching all the things (particularly “The Witcher” on Netflix, and finally getting to watch season 4 of “The Magicians.”) And hey, maybe I’ll play some more of my video games, like Pokemon Shield and Link’s Awakening. We’ll see. I may also have some other ideas and plans in place, but I’m going to keep those to myself a tiny bit longer. If all goes well then you’ll definitely find out at the beginning of the year.

Anyway, how is your week going? Have you read any awesome books here at the end of the year? Let me know in the comments and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
