Weekly Wrap-Up (32)

Hey all, Dani here.

So…I admit that I’ve been a little bit of a bad blogger the last couple days, but I was so tired from working all weekend and I had run out of prepped posts. I totally owe you guys a Manga Monday review post and my Cincinnati Comic Expo Wrap-Up post, so expect those in the next couple of days, though I probably will backdate them so they will show up on the proper days.

But today I am back with my normally scheduled post where I talk about what I’ve read and watched and done in the past week. I honestly was worried that this post wasn’t going to have a lot in it, but I actually did manage to get some reading done in the last couple of days, which is great, so let’s get started.

Let’s see…for watches I think all we did was watch a little bit more of “Avatar: the Last Airbender Book Two: Earth.” Oh, we did watch one episode of “Black Clover,” but we are still so many episodes behind. We didn’t really have a lot of free time to watch stuff. It was either work or sleep for most of the past week.

Okay, so for reads: I completely read Suggested Reading by Dave Connis, and it was amazing. I believe my review will be going up tomorrow. This was the perfect book to read during Banned Books Week, and I can’t wait to talk about it more in my review. I also read Accomplishments of the Duke’s Daughter Volume 1 by Reia and Suki Umemiya.

As for my current reads, I am still working on Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. I am really liking this book, but it is a bit of a more dense read, so I don’t fly through it as quickly as I do others. I think I should be able to finish it in the next day or two though, so that’s great. I’m also currently reading Victor Boone Will Save Us by David Joel Stevenson, and it is such a quick and easy read, and I’m enjoying it quite a bit. And, because apparently reading two books at once isn’t enough, I’m also reading The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young.

Finally, for my upcoming reads, I have a couple manga that I’m probably going to jump into very soon, but there’s a bunch of novels I really want to read, so I don’t know exactly which of these I’m going to be reading next, but I have a bunch of options, which is nice.

Well, honestly I think that’s all for today. Now I’m going to go relax, read some more, and try to convince myself that I should actually go to work tomorrow…because my mind keeps suggesting that I call off work and spend the day just reading all the books. It’s the argument I’ve been having with myself quite literally since I woke up this morning.

What are you reading right now? Let me know in the comments and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
