Most Anticipated Fall Releases 2019

Hey all, Dani here.

It’s hype time! Let’s get super excited in talking about all sorts of upcoming book releases. Yay! Anyway, welcome back to my quarterly post wherein I discuss a lot of the books I am looking forward to being released in the upcoming months. For Fall, that means talking about September, October, and November, which is super exciting.

I’m going to be honest: I had to absolutely narrow down the releases in these months, because there were A LOT. I ran out of room on my notebook pages for September and October, and almost ran out of space for November (my poor wallet, lol).

All right, let’s just get this bookish party started.

There are quite a few books in my September list that I was lucky enough to be granted access to via NetGalley, so you’ll be seeing reviews for some of these in the next couple of weeks. I have been quite happy with what I’ve read so far, so all I can say is that these September releases are definitely worth the read (and/or purchase).

September: Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir (Sept 10), There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool (Sept 3), The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young (Sept 3), Sword and Pen by Rachel Caine (Sept 3), Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin (Sept 3), Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff (Sept 3), The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett (Sept 10), Tiger Queen by Annie Sullivan (Sept 10), The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow (Sept 10), Five Dark Fates by Kendare Blake (Sept 3).

October brings about the next installment in the Harry Potter Illustrated Editions, some really interesting sounding fantasies, and a new book by one of my favorite geeky individuals-Felicia Day. It should be a pretty darn good month of reading.

October: Embrace Your Weird: Face Your Fears and Unleash Creativity by Felicia Day (Oct 1), Crier’s War by Nina Varela (Oct 1), The Library of the Unwritten by A.J. Hackwith (Oct 1), The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh (Oct 8), Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire Illustrated Edition by J.K. Rowling and Jim Kay (Oct 8), The Princess Beard by Delilah S Dawson and Kevin Hearne (Oct 8), The Never Tilting World by Rin Chupeco (Oct 15), Gravemaidens by Kelly Coon (Oct 29).

Finally for today’s post, there’s the November books, which honestly include some of my absolute most anticipated releases of the year. Or longer, if you think about how long it’s been since Erin Morgenstern last released a book. Oh, and I guess I should say that the cover shown for the upcoming Brandon Sanderson release is the UK cover, not the US one. I just like the UK covers better for Sanderson’s books, so that’s what I’m anticipating.

November: The Toll by Neal Shusterman (Nov 5), The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White (Nov 5), Girls of Storm and Shadow by Natasha Ngan (Nov 5), The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern (Nov 5), Starsight by Brandon Sanderson (Nov 26), and Strange Planet by Nathan W Pyle (Nov 19).

Whew, all right, I do believe that is all for today. What books are you anticipating over the next few months? Let me know in the comments and I will be back soon with more bookish content.

    1. My plan is to only buy favorite reads from the ARCs and then buying ones I didn’t get to read early. Then on a slower release month I can buy the other ARCs I read. Otherwise I won’t have enough money for Christmas presents and all of that.
