Hey all, Dani here.
It has been a difficult week of trying to adjust back to a day shift schedule. But I am getting so excited for my birthday next week and for our trip to Gen Con, so I just have to get through one more day of work and then a weekend of errands and packing and all of that.
Oh, and because of the issue of adjusting my sleep schedule, we haven’t really watched much over the last week, just some episodes of “The Big Bang Theory”… Oh, and we did watch Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part One, and Mockingjay Part Two.
Okay, now let’s talk about reading progress.
Okay, let’s start with what I’ve read over the last week. Obviously I finished reading Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, re-read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling (I ended up reading the Illustrated Edition this time around-though I’m still showing the Ravenclaw edition here), Shatter the Sky by Rebecca Kim Wells, and Black Clover Vol 11 by Yuki Tabata.
For my current reads, well, I’m still working on City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett. I sort of set it aside a little bit so I could focus on my reading challenge books. I still really want to finish it, so I may end up making it a priority for this weekend.
I’m also still working on Wonderbook by Jeff Vandermeer, and it is definitely a high priority for this weekend. It has an interesting way of presenting the information and I think it may be helping to wake up my creativity. Maybe? I hope so.
And I also recently started The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen. I’m about halfway through and really enjoying it, so I should finish it soon.
I only have one more book to read for #AGameofBooksathon, and I’ve finished my reads for DND Readathon. Of course, I’m barely into my TBR for The Reading Rush, but I should be able to finish that in the next couple of days. So…my plans for books to read or start to read over the next week include The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang and House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig.
