Weekly Wrap-Up (17)

Hey all, Dani here.

It has been another very productive week of reading, even if it’s not a huge number of books read.

On my list of books I’ve finished in the last week, let’s start with Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto, and The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. Then I dove into Sorcery Of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson–this is the book that will be in the June OwlCrate, but I couldn’t wait that long to get my hands on a copy, so I went to the store and bought it. Then I wanted to spread my reading journey over several days because the book was just soooo good.

I guess next up is current reads. Well, I’m still technically working on The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, but I have made no progress since last week. I’m also still re-reading A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. But I’m also working on reading Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa AND Kingsbane by Claire Legrand. Whoo, that’s a lot of big books.

As for my upcoming reads, those include Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead, Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent, and The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco.

When it comes to watches, we went to a drive in movie theater over the weekend with a buddy, so Damian and I saw the new live action “Aladdin” for the third time, and then we saw “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.” Our local drive in is great because it has two screens and each screen does a double feature each week. It’s a fun experience. Oh, and we also finished watching the third season of “The Big Bang Theory,” and started watching season four.

    1. My goal was to read a lot of big books this year, and while I’m not reading a lot from the list I made, I’m still devouring a lot of pages. I think I’m going to go back and look up how many pages I’ve read so far this year. It should be a pretty big number, lol.
