Weekly Wrap-Up (12)

Hey all, Dani here.

Wow, it’s Wednesday again already. I legitimately feel a little bit like a failure this week. I haven’t really read a lot. I finished one book, and read one volume of manga in the past week. But, I am predicting that it will be an eventful weekend of reading, so next week’s post will be a lot more exciting.

Anyway, let’s get started.

I finished reading Dark Shores by Danielle L. Jensen, and my review is up, so you can go check that out. And this morning I finally started reading for the current round of Manga Madness Readathon by starting and finishing How to Treat Magical Beasts: Mine and Master’s Medical Journal Vol 3 by Kaziya. Finding that volume at B&N–and having Damian find the next volumes of both Black Clover and One-Punch Man–made me realize that I need to look at the release schedule for a lot of the manga we like, because I don’t have them in my most anticipated/book buying schedule.

As for my current reads, I’m about halfway finished with The Tiger at Midnight by Swati Teerdhala, and I am really enjoying it, and I am also working on We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal. These are both such awesome and atmospheric reads that I predict I will be finishing both in the next couple of days. I hope to have their reviews up very soon as well.

My next reads are pretty ambitious, but I’m feeling pretty good about my reading so far this month.

On the watches list, Damian and I are currently watching season five of Game of Thrones, and that’s about it.

Oh, and Damian has been talking about needing to write up more reviews. He has a pretty big stack of manga volumes awaiting reviews, so hopefully we’ll both be having more posts coming over the rest of the month.

You know, I looked at my stats for the year and I have only missed 9 days this whole year, and all of those days have been weekend days. I don’t know that this schedule of having a post every single day is sustainable from me on a consistent basis, but I’m super proud of how I’ve done this year.

Anyway, I hope you all have had a wonderful week of reading. Have you read anything awesome lately? Let me know in the comments, and I will be back soon with more bookish content.
