Hey all, Dani here.
Yikes, I feel like a bad bookworm. I don’t really think I have much to talk about this week. I’ve been bouncing from book to book over the past week, not really sticking with one particular one and finishing it. But it’ll be okay. I’m really close to finishing a couple books–which is great because I had already planned to have their reviews up later this week. Also, it means that next week I should have a decently epic wrap-up.
Over the past week I signed up for the next session of Manga Madness Readathon, participated in a cover reveal, and continued to utterly fail on Camp NaNoWriMo. I pretty much have resigned myself to once again failing at Camp NaNo; somehow I just never really have luck with the April and July writing events. I will get into the swing of writing, and I will get my book written. It just won’t happen during this month.
I’ll start off by saying that at the moment I am reading a hardcover, a paperback, an e-book, and an audiobook. It gives me a decent amount of variety and I’m enjoying that. The hardcover and the e-book are the ones I’m closest to finishing. Those books are No Country for Old Gnomes by Delilah S Dawson and Kevin Hearne, and King of Fools by Amanda Foody. My current paperback read is Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, and my current audiobook listen is Colorworld by Rachel E Kelly and narrated by Cherami Leigh Kuehn & Todd Haberkorn.
Okay, yes, so I’m reading Colorworld again; I regret nothing. I love this series. Reading them over and over again is a joy. And okay, Cherami and Todd are both voice actors (Lucy and Natsu from “Fairy Tail”) so that gave me even more reason to want to listen to this.
My next reads will likely be a couple NetGalley reads I need to get finished in the next couple weeks. Dark Shores by Danielle Jensen, We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal, and The Living God by Kaytalin Platt.
As for our watches over the next week, I’ve gotten Damian hooked on “Game of Thrones,” so we’ve binged our way through Seasons 1 and 2, and we are probably finishing Season 3 tonight. Tyrion is his favorite character, which I totally understand because he’s one of my favorites as well. What is amusing for me with all of this is that Damian is not typically that good at remembering lots of characters and such, and there are A LOT of characters in GoT. So a lot of our conversations involve me describing characters instead of merely using their names.
Oh, and over the weekend Damian and I hosted our first family meal at our new house. It was easiest to have Easter there because my mom’s oven broke down, and she had a big ham for the meal, and then Damian’s step-mom and dad would have wanted the meal less than two hours after the meal with my mom…so I made them all combine it all into one big meal. It was also the first time that my family and his family actually met. So that was fun. I was super stressed in the few days leading up to Easter dinner, but it ended up being a pretty good day.
Okay, well I do believe that is all for today, but I’ll be back soon with more bookish content. Feel free to let me know what awesome books/movies/TV shows you’re watching. I’d love to talk about all of our hobbies in the comments.
It sounds like you have been super-busy! Happy Easter! I haven’t read any of the books that you’re reading right now, but I’m planning to read Good Omens and We Hunt the Flame at some point soon!

Haha, yeah, I feel like I’m almost always super busy. You’d think I’d be more used to it by now. Oooh…yay! Well I hope you enjoy what you’re currently reading, and that you like Good Omens and We Hunt the Flame when you get around to them.
