Manga Review: Seraph of the End Vol. 1

Hey, Damian Trypp here.

Okay so I know it has been a while since I posted but here I am once again. I’ve quite a few books and manga to review and I ready to go again. These last few weeks have been filled with loss and with the holidays it wasn’t really easy, though it did let me catch up on my Doctor Who. I’ve been doing a bit more reading and now I’ve gotten a new book shelf that needs filling and I can’t wait.

After trumpets of the apocalypse proclaim the fall of humanity, vampires arise from the shadows to rule the Earth. Yuichiro wants just one thing–to get revenge by killing each and every vampire.

Yuichiro’s dream is near-impossible, given that vampires are seven times stronger than humans, and the only way to kill them is by mastering Cursed Gear, advanced demon-possessed weaponry. Not to mention that humanity’s most elite Vampire Extermination Unit, the Moon Demon Company, wants nothing to do with Yuichiro unless he can prove he’s willing to work in a team–which is the last thing he wants!

Rating: 4.5

This one I was weary of trying from the get go, but during a book sale of buy 2 get 1 free I’m going to grab manga to try regardless. I will say the over all layout was good and I will continue to read this. I will honestly say it’s not at the top of the list of my “I need the next one now” manga or anything but I will still enjoy it. The reason for this particular volume receiving what it did was that it was a bit too predictable for me at least until the bit in the final chapter at the end.
