Hey all, Dani here.
Well, we have made it through our first full week of 2019. I hope you all have been having a wonderful start to the year. So far so good for me, which is pretty great.
Okay, so for what I’ve read since my last update: I made it through My Hero Academia Vigilantes Volume 3, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margarita, Rat Queens Volume 5, In An Absent Dream, and Foundryside. So a manga, a recipe book, a graphic novel, a novella, and a fantasy book. That is not bad at all for one week’s worth of reading.
I’m not going to write up a review for Are You There God? It’s Me, Margarita by Tim Federle, but I’ll just say that much like Tequila Mockingbird this was an entertaining read, and I can’t wait to try out a bunch of the cocktail recipes within these tomes. Plus the names of the drinks and the descriptions are pretty pun filled, which is greatly amusing.
My current reads are both longer fantasy reads. I should probably add in a couple volumes of manga to this as well, but I’ll just have to see what happens. And as for what I’m hoping to read next, well, let’s check in with my TBR mug.
I’ve been doing all right for Jan Jam Jar, but I’ve also deviated a bit too. What can I say? Other books just caught my eye. It happens. Technically speaking, I’m still working towards my 2019 goal of reading some big books, so I don’t mind that Wizard’s First Rule didn’t come from the mug.
How is your week going? Have you read any good books lately? Let’s chat in the comments. And I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
