What I’m Reading (46)

Hey all, Dani here.

So this is fun, a what I’m reading post just one day after a wrap up post. Well I suppose that’s all right, because I actually had a reading day yesterday, so I actually do have some updating to do.

I hope you all are having a wonderful 2019 so far. Today was my first day back to work, and I am already ready for the weekend again.

But I’ve started my year out with a little bit of reading already, which is really nice. So I’ll just get started talking about what I’ve read in the past almost two days. The answer is mostly manga. I’ve really been hooked on this series, and have been trying to catch up on it. Plus, reading manga is a quick experience, so it also helps to start my reading challenge the right way.

So yeah, I feel pretty good with the start to my 2019 Goodreads Reading Challenge. Sure, I’ll probably end up having a lot of manga and graphic novel reads for the year, but honestly, I’m perfectly fine with that. I think they are wildly entertaining stories.

Then there are my current reads, though one of them I may have actually finished today. It depends on what reading time I got at work, so we’ll see. But I’m glad I’ve picked up some pretty decent fantasy story options so far. I’m definitely in that sort of mood, which is awesome. I actually got a sneak peek of Sightwitch a while back for NetGalley, and obviously the whole thing has been released for a while. So I really need to finally get it read and reviewed. I have been absolutely awful with keeping on top of my NetGalley books. After that is Foundryside, which I have been wanting to read since I first heard about it and picked it up. Come on, if a book is blurbed by Brandon Sanderson, then it is good enough for me.

Since I have read the manga, and I’m finishing up those other reads, what that means is that I need to pick some more reads from my TBR mug for Jan Jam Jar. I’ve read my manga, my NetGalley read, and I’m working on one of the random books, so I’m going to go pick one for each of those categories.

Yay, I get to read more Fairy Tail. I’m super excited about that. The random book I chose was The Sisters of the Winter Wood by Rena Rossner. And the NetGalley read I chose was Warrior of the Wild by Tricia Levenseller. What’s nice about the NetGalley read is that it is a late February release, so I should actually get the review up before it is released. And of course, my other TBR mug choice from yesterday’s post was my big book option: The Black Prism by Brent Weeks. So that is also an option for the next book I’ll read.

Okay, well that is all from me today. I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
