Novellavember TBR

Hey all, Sam here.

As we near the end of the year, I have a whole lot still on my to-do list. One of the big things is trying to focus a bit more on writing my book (and I’ll talk more about that tomorrow). So, when it comes to reading…yes, I do still have a bunch of books I’m hoping I’ll be able to read in the next couple of months, but I’m also planning to give myself a bunch of shorter quicker reads just to help give myself more time for my writing.

Thank goodness Novella November (or Novellavember) exists. And, as it so happens, I do have a decent number of novellas that I either own physically or still have outstanding eARCs for.

So first up, here’s my physical TBR options…

Roll for Initiative by Matthew Phillion, Desdemona and the Deep by C.S.E. Cooney, The Chase Begins by Aimee Donnellan, The Collection Awakens by Aimee Donnellan, Snowspelled by Stephanie Burgis, When Among Crows by Veronica Roth, Servant Mage by Kate Elliott, A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers, The Chosen and the Beautiful by Nghi Vo, A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

And here’s my eARC possibilities…

Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear by Seanan McGuire (release date 7 Jan 2025), At the Fount of Creation by Tobi Ogundiran (release date 28 Jan 2025), The City in Glass by Nghi Vo, The Bloodless Princes by Charlotte Bond, Asunder by Kerstin Hall, In the Shadow of the Fall by Tobi Ogundiran, The Brides of High Hill by Nghi Vo

I absolutely realize that 17 books, even novella/short novel sized ones, is still a rather large list, so I don’t expect to read them all. I just wanted to gather my options in one spot so I could easily reference them.

And I also know that I’ll probably still pick up some other books, especially since there are a number of books coming out that I’ve been wanting to pick up and just haven’t managed to get around to yet.

Anyway, that is all from me for today. What are your reading plans for November? Let me know in the comments because I’d love to know. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
