August Reading Wrap-Up

Hey all, Dani here.

So…I disappeared again…sorry. I was so proud of my 36 day blogging streak too. I don’t know, my bank of fully written and scheduled posts got smaller and smaller and then the day I was supposed to write the next few posts came and I just wasn’t in the mood to write. So I didn’t. And then I felt guilty for not posting. And the not posting kept happening.

I actually haven’t even done a whole lot of reading the past few weeks either. But I just got approved for some cool books via NetGalley and I’m feeling that urge to read again, which naturally means I want to talk about what I read too.

I had big plans to draft up a few of these posts and get them started while I also jumped into working at a comic convention again…yes, Damian and I are at Cincinnati Comic Expo this weekend with our friends at Colorworld Books. Masks are required, but I can admit to still feeling very anxious about this big social event while still in the middle of an ongoing pandemic.

But…silly me, I left my blogging calendar book at home, and it has a list of every one of the books I’ve read in August. My Goodreads has most of them, but I’m also thinking that it might be missing a couple. If so…oh well, I guess…I’m still at over 20 books read for the month of August. Don’t get too excited though…a good number of those are children’s books or manga/comic book/graphic novels, so very quick and easy to read.

Oh, and I should also mention that all of the children’s books, and a few of the manga were read during Dewey’s Reverse Summer Readathon that happened in August as well.

I’ll briefly mention everything I read, as well as my ratings…and if I have reviews up for anything, I”ll include the links for them as well. If I haven’t reviewed them then I’m hoping to write up reviews sometime in the near future.

Okay, let’s do this, because I need to get to bed. It’s going to be a long day at the con for me tomorrow (well–today for you, because I’m drafting this the night before it goes live).

Wow, okay, I guess that’s it…I’m pretty sure that I slacked in updating my Goodreads, because that last comic was logged on August 18th. I guess if there’s anything I missed then it will be at the top of my September reading wrap-up.

Well, that’s all from me this time, but I’ll try and be back soon with more geeky content.
