Hey all, Sam here.
I’ve been meaning to talk about this for a little while, but I keep forgetting to sit down and type this up. After ten years of this blog, I’m about at my limit when it comes to photo storage. For the free plan you only get 3GB, which isn’t a lot, but it has worked for me up until now.
If this blog had a bigger following or more consistent posts and views and all of that, then I could see upgrading to the smallest plan WordPress has to offer, but I can’t justify it to myself to pay like $60 a year to double my storage.
So…my plan is that I am going to go back to the beginning of my photo uploads and I am going to start deleting anything that isn’t a book cover. I did a lot of Goodreads screenshots and other things back in the day, and I just don’t need those taking up space anymore. I’m also going to be trying to weed through the photos, because there are a good number of times where I uploaded a book’s cover, forgot that I did it, and then uploaded it again. I’ve been trying to be better about organizing my photos these days, but those first few years I was not so diligent about keeping track of what all I was uploading.
Basically, this announcement is just to say that if you look at any of my posts from 2016-2018 and it seems like a photo is missing….it’s probably because I deleted it.
I’m also trying to finish up drafting some other reviews and posts today, so hopefully I can actually have more than two posts published in a month. I have a pretty big blog post backlog, and I’m really trying to find the time and motivation to get everything written up and scheduled.
Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by for this brief update. That’s all from me for today, but I will hopefully be back soon with more geeky content.
