Hey all, Sam and David here today.
Here we are at another Tuesday, which means it is time to talk about tabletop gaming once again. David and I are huge gamers, and we play a lot of tabletop games, whether that is a board game, a card game, a dice game, or a role-playing game. So when we were re-configuring things so we could run this blog together as Free State of Geek, we knew we wanted to have a series where we talked about all things tabletop, and so Tabletop Tuesday was born.
For today’s Tabletop Tuesday, we’re talking about a company who primarily has products that are aimed towards D&D 5th edition, but some products can be used in a variety of systems. A couple of these products we have and use regularly and a couple Sam has been thinking about getting, so let’s talk about Arcane Goods.

First up: Healing Potions. These are probably our most used accessory at our table when we play 5e. It makes taking healing potions way easier. No more looking through your dice to find the proper amount of dice. Also, no more wondering what the bonus to the roll is, because it is right on the bottle.
Unfortunately, this product is currently out of stock, but it shouldn’t take too long to restock. We eventually want to build up enough of a stock of these in our own personal collection that each player can have their own set in front of them.

Arcane Goods also has bundle packs that have a whole bunch of useful accessories. Sam backed their Wild Shape deck Kickstarter, so she has most of what is included in the Druid Bundle. The decks are incredibly useful, with all the stats and details your druid needs to know for when they use their Wild Shape feature. Oh, and the different CRs of the creatures is listed along the side, and each tier of CR has a different color, which makes finding the list of shapes you can utilize very quick and easy.
Plus, they have Wild Shape coins. Since a Druid in 5e gets two uses of Wild Shape per rest, having the coins means you can keep track of how many you have or have used without having to find a place to continuously mark and erase on your character sheet. And in case you like the coins but don’t want the whole bundle, these items are also available separately.
Speaking of bundles, they have both Player and DM accessory bundles that include useful items as well. Now, we haven’t tried any of these items, but they still seem pretty great. There are Inspiration coins, which are useful if you have a DM who uses the Inspiration feature, or if you have a Bard in the party.
There are condition cards so you don’t have to keep looking up what it means to be Frightened or Restrained or Grappled or whatever. There are session cards, which are dry-erase cards that have important information like spell slots or HP on them. Again, we love anything that is useful and reusable, and since hit points and spell slots are some of the most marked and erased areas on the player sheet, having something that makes that easier is a wonderful thing.

Okay, now here is an accessory that Sam wants to get just to have them in the collection… a set of Class Bookmarks. These have all of the basic features and the leveling tables for each of the basic classes on a handy dandy bookmark. So yes, the print is probably pretty small for the most part, but we can see where it would be very helpful to just have the full set of 12 bookmarks. You know, for those parties that still play in person and don’t all use an online toolset like D&D Beyond.
Finally they have the Arcana Notebook, and they have ones for both players and DMs. These include pages to keep track of character sheets, inventory, session notes, lore and worldbuilding information and more. And you can actually get either the physical book, or they have a PDF bundle so you can print out however many of the pages would be useful for you and your fellow gamers.
And…at the time of writing this (so 2pm on June 20th, 2023), Arcane Goods has a deal going on…one class bookmark free with each Arcana Notebook purchased. No code or anything required. Just add both items to your cart and the discount is applied.
I guess we should point out that this post is not sponsored and we get nothing from sharing all of this information. We do this because we like cool accessories that can help level up your gaming experience and streamline some of the aspects to make gaming easier.
All right, well that is all from us for today. Thank you so much for stopping by, and we’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
