Hey all, Sam here.
So, I’ve realized that now, since I’m trying to read more regularly, that the weekly updates with WIP Wednesday might not be enough to really keep track of what I’ve been reading. If I have already posted a review for the books listed below, I’ll also include a link to the review, and if I haven’t reviewed it yet, I’ll let you know when the review is scheduled to go live).
I actually used to do my monthly wrap-ups this way, linking to my posted reviews and scheduling ahead on the ones I hadn’t reviewed yet, and I feel like going back to this method is going to keep me more accountable for what I’m doing. And yes, it also might mean that some days I’ll be posting more than one review, but that’s okay.
Like, since June is pride month, I’m going to get a bit personal and talk about my own journey of self-discovery and identity by posting a book review about books on asexuality or books with ace main characters. Those posts will be going up every Saturday in June. Now, obviously, we should be talking about LGBTQIAP+ books year round, and I do, but I feel that this year it is particularly important to talk about these books that have been so important to me, and books that I would love so very much if more people would read.
All right, let’s get to this delightful list of all the books I finished reading in the month of May. It’s a pretty good list, which I’m pretty happy with.

Spring’s Arcana by Lilith Saintcrow – 4 stars
Sounds Fake But Okay: An Asexual and Aromantic Perspective on Love, Relationships, Sex, and Pretty Much Anything Else by Sarah Costello and Kayla Kaszyca (Review Coming June 10, 2023) — 4 stars
The Warden by Daniel M. Ford – 4.5 stars
Dragonfall by L.R. Lam – 4.5 stars

Halloween Romance by Donaya Haymond – 4 stars
Bite Me by Donaya Haymond – 4.5 stars
Waking Echoes by Donaya Haymond – 4.5 stars
People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry – 5 stars (Review coming June 4, 2023)

Out of Character by Jenna Miller – 4 stars (Review coming June 11, 2023)
Wild and Wicked Things by Francesca May – 4 stars (Review coming June 1, 2023)
A Venom Dark and Sweet by Judy I. Lin – 4 stars (Review coming June 3, 2023)
Court of the Undying Seasons by A.M. Strickland – 5 stars (Review coming June 22, 2023)
Obviously there’s a bunch of books I’m still in the middle of and finishing up, but those will be discussed more next month. But here’s a little preview of what I’m currently reading.

I have so so many awesome books on my TBR, and I’m hoping to read as soon as possible. I talked about some of my most anticipated reads in a recent post, and I might do those posts somewhat regularly as I complete previous lists and have even more books to look forward to reading.
And I don’t help myself by repeatedly going onto NetGalley and putting in requests for even more upcoming releases. Being an obsessive bookish fangirl is a beautiful problem to have. At least I’m never going to run out of reading material.
Well, that is all from me for now. There is the review of Wild and Wicked Things coming this afternoon. Thank you so much for stopping by, and I’ll be back soon with more geeky content.
