Weekly Wrap-Up (37)

Hey all, Dani here.

It has been a pretty interesting week so far, and I am working on catching up on my missed posts from the last week and a half. So, you can check out my review of My Hero Academia, Volume 19, and my Weekly-Wrap Up (36) post now, and I will have more of these catch-up posts in the next few days.

Let’s start with watches. We started watching Season 4 of “Legends of Tomorrow” and have watched just the first few episodes so far. We also watched “The Rescuers Down Under,” “Brother Bear,” “Big Hero 6,” “The Great Mouse Detective,” “Practical Magic,” “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestial,” “Repo: The Genetic Opera!” and we finished the 9th season of “The Big Bang Theory.”

Okay, now for reads. I finished The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh, and then it was time for Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon. I had quite a bit of other stuff to do, including a Halloween themed D&D one-shot for my local nerd store, but I still managed to read quite a bit. Specifically I read nine volumes of manga, for a total of 1838 pages read. Those volumes were: Black Clover Volumes 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, The Ancient Magus’ Bride Volume 3, Fairy Tail Volume 7, and Magus of the Library Volume 2. After all of that, I have also finished reading Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey.

My current read is Gravemaidens by Kelly Coon, and also The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman.

As for what I’m reading next…I have absolutely no clue, because NaNoWriMo is coming and my main focus is writing. Though I will probably still read some. I’m thinking maybe some contemporary romance, or maybe some Middle Grade reads. But I’ll have to see what books call out for me.

That is all from me for today. Let me know what you’re reading right now, and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.

    1. Manga is the easy way for me to read lots of books/pages during a readathon, lol. I like Ancient Magus’ Bride. It has interesting characters and is pretty much set in our world, in the past, but with the existence of magic as well.
